Very friendly helpful staff. Comfortable bed although room small all facilities were there. Lovely location close to rail services. Quiet area very clean i would recommend staying in this hotel.
The second night of my stay i ate in the restaurant and the meal was o.k but not great i was disappointed with the choice of food but thats just personel preference and will not stop me staying in the future.
The restaurant food could have been of a higher standard - e.g. puddings home made on the spot, and the choc fudge cake warm not cold. Also a few issues around service - need to ensure all crockery and cutlery already on the table, especially at breakfast. Marmalade etc should be on table.
food was great nice room all good
We love the location and have stayed here twice before. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are serviced to a very high standard. The overall experience is positive.
I would say the food is average.I ordered tagliatelli for lunch and it was served with roast potatoes and carrots! The breakfast food is better but the tea and coffee let them down. The coffee is usually bitter and the tea lacks flavour. This time I took my mother who is 89 year old. We had a lovely room with a sea view in the main hotel. She could not use the shower as there was no grab rail to help her in and out. Luckily my sister lives close by so Mum used her shower! In days of excessive health and safety regulations I would have thought a grab rail in each bathroom would be an advantage. We mentioned it to the manager Avril......?.She said the only showers with grab rails were in the annexe where there were wet rooms. I know my mother would not like a wet room and the room are not as large nor the views as good as the main hotel a I have stayed there.
The room was very clean and the bed was extremely confortable. Breakfast and dinner was a dining experience with a large range of vegetarian choices.
The lack of a lift.
Being on the seafront. Choice of 2 restaurants - one being casual and having facilty to show Sky Sports.
Some of the rooms small and pokey. Standard of breakfast was poor -tinned fruit salad and boil in the bag kippers.
staff really friendly and helpful, rooms comfortable and clean, excellent bathrooms, breakfast first class, definately return again and again
Convenient to the town. Easy access and parking. Very helpful staff .Warm atmosphere and enjoyable food in the bar restaurant.
Missed a lift but the staff were most helpful with my luggage.
The steam room and jacussi/ pool. The walk on the beach. The food was good.
The room I had had a very poorly decorated cieling- room 100, other than that it was a bit hot. I opened all the windows.
The close proximity to the railway station, the beach and the sea views.
Disappointed by the food, in particular the fish served at dinner.
Everything was there, working and ready - this should be standard in all hotels but is not. The indoor pool and spa was a highlight as was being next to the sea in a quiet location.
Our stay was wonderful but perhaps it may have been different if there had been a wedding function during our stay.
Being right on the beach, the location of this hotel is wonderful. I stayed in a single room which was perfectly adequate in size, was very comfortable and had ample storage. Standards of cleanliness seemed high and staff were friendly and polite.
There is no lift and, although there is only one upper floor, I would like to see guests offered assistance with luggage instead of having to ask.
I liked the location of the hotel and the staff were all pleasant and friendly. We enjoyed our breakfast, and the food which was served at a private celebration buffet was excellent.
I was disappointed with the size of our double room, and the view from our window - which looked out on to walls and pipes.
I stayed in the hotel for one night as my cousin had his wedding reception here. The bed was very comfortable and the inclusive continental breakfast was lovely.
The hotel had apparently been decorated recently!! Where ?. I found the room to be very basic and i think the price you pay is actually for the name of the hotel rather than the hotel itself. I also checked in at 2.10pm and the cleaning staff hadn't got round to my room
We particularly liked the friendliness of the staff and their caring attitude. Nothing was too much trouble. The bathrooms were excellent and finished to a high standard.
The fact that there was extremely loud music coming from the bar on Friday evening. Our room was right underneath and we complained. They moved us to another room immediately.
